About Mariah
Mariah Medina, founder of Canine Kindness Co., is a canine behavior consultant in Albuquerque, NM, specializing in science-based, force-free training. She works with dogs of all breeds, focusing on behavior modification that fosters trust, reduces fear, and strengthens guardian-dog relationships.
A student of CATCH and Grisha Stewart’s Academy, Mariah is a member of PPG, IAABC, APDT, and the AKC as a Certified CGC Evaluator, FitDog Instructor, and FETCH Judge, staying current on the latest research. After studying comparative linguistics and Japanese, she transitioned to canine behavior after adopting her rescue dog, Dale, over a decade ago.
Recognizing the need for ethical and holistic training options, Mariah founded Canine Kindness Co. to offer effective, positive solutions. She customizes techniques such as BAT, engage/disengage, desensitization, counterconditioning, and myriad other force-free methods to each dog, emphasizing choice and low-stress learning for lasting success.
